Does being an entrepreneur means being Busy?

This is the biggest misconception in the history of misconception.

Reason?

Many people think that being an entrepreneur would be like working 24/7, meeting, calls, emails etc. I mean yeah that is partly true but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the person should be really busy and say that he doesn’t have time for certain other important things.

The word “Busy” is a really bad word when it comes to my opinion. Because in the Tim Ferris book “The Tools of Titans” one entrepreneur said that if you are saying you are busy then you are letting your schedule control you rather than you having control over the schedule.

One of the reasons why I wanted to talk about this is, I have always been guilty of saying to people when they call me “I am busy” where in reality all I would be doing is work for 5 mins and scroll my Instagram account thinking over about the guy with six-packs and a beautiful girlfriend.

P.S — I don’t have both!

So I decided to have systems and schedules in place. Well, it doesn’t work all the time (Schedule) but the system works.

For example, I follow the rule of 45/15.

I will sit for work let it be editing, designing or podcasting whatever it is that I do. Then I will work for 45 mins straight. No disturbance from my phone it will probably be somewhere away or on silent.

Then I will rest for 15 mins. I would have a little walk, reply to texts and so on. So my suggestion is to try this out and trust me you won’t say the word “Busy” anymore.
