100 Episodes of Podcasting

Getting to your first 100 episodes in your podcast is not as hard as you think.

And I am gonna help you reach them how you can do them in this #1 step.

I am Jeffrey the founder of JBdigitally and Jeff’s Podcast Academy.

If you are someone who is into podcasting and want to learn about podcasting and grow your podcast then this is the right channel for you.

Now let’s jump on to the blog.

Recently I did an interview with Ana Xavier, she is a podcast producer and the founder of PodcastSpace.

The episode will be released in Season 8 and I got some pretty big plans for season 8 ladies and gentlemen. You’ll see.

In that recording, we were talking a lot about consistency, promotions and stuff but she mentioned about one important tip for podcasters to reach more audiences and publish more episodes.

That is Micro episodes.

Now you must be thinking, “Jeffrey What the hell is Micro Episodes”

Let’s hear it from the expert herself, shall we?

https://youtu.be/NqVl1rHLkUQ

So to summarize you can do it in two different ways. One is that she mentioned originally creating short video content like Podnews or other news podcasts like that.

Or you can create Micro Episodes from your long episodes.

One example is the podcast called “How to start your startup” this is the first podcast that I ever binged. And trust me guys it is so good.

After hearing this I decided I needed a Co-Founder.

I’ll put the link in the description to check it out and also Anna’s Social Links.

So originally creating short content is self-explanatory right?

You write a script for an episode of 3 mins or 5 mins record it and then publish them.

But how do you do for Micro Episodes from longer forms of content?

That is quite the challenge.

Let’s take for example you are doing a guest-oriented podcast.

And if I am correct you will definitely have a script or a set of questions to ask in the conversation.

So for each micro episode, it will be one question and its answer.

If you have like 5 or 7 questions asked to that guest then you will get 5 to 7 Micro episodes.

Now even if you don’t have the script you can still take those content because there will be a discussion under some topic.

You might have asked the guest what are your thoughts on this or have you done something like this before?

Something will be there guys trust me it will be.

So I’m gonna give you a small task go to your episode right now and check how many micro episodes you can create and put them in the comments below.

You may have this question — How long should each episode be?

To be honest there are no set timings. The content and context matter.

If the guest is giving a great answer to the question then take out that piece from your editor add a really short intro and outro.

Then publish them with show notes saying what you’ll get in the episode.

Important tip: Make the intro and outro short you don’t wanna take 1 or 2 minutes of the whole episode by adding a long intro and outro

With this, you can get to your 100 episodes in 100 days.

Don’t post more than 1 in a day for me personally I don’t believe in posting more than once especially podcast episodes.

So guys, if you have any other questions, leave them in the comments below and if you liked this video give a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel it will be of great help.

See you soon.
